Our Hometown: Book & Shipping
Our Hometown chronicles Libby’s development from the time the Great Northern Railroad entered Montana’s most remote region in the early 1890’s until the 1970’s when Libby Dam was completed and Libby had expanded with the flood of several thousand construction workers and their families. Focusing on the Libby community, the book contains sections accounting for Libby residents and their daily lives. Included are scenes and stories describing Libby’s first arrivals, and early development, schools, sports, churches, fraternal and service groups, and businesses.
Using hundreds of photographs as well as anecdotes and narratives to tell the story, Our Hometown strives to give the reader a sense of the uniqueness and charm that has made Libby the special place it is.
